Hello everybody
You no longer see the iOS Project Builder for Unity on the Asset Store because I learned today that a moron (sorry, there's no other possibly honest qualifier) decided it should be "deprecated".
% 'iOS Project Builder for Windows' has been deprecated. We have received reports that the package does not contain the advertised content and redirects users to download executable files on a third-party website. According to our guidelines, this is not allowed. This package cannot be allowed back on the store if it does not contain the advertised content, or if it contains executable files. Kind regards, The Asset Store Team %
I want to inform everybody reading this that the fact that this product is on the Asset Store is because it was *invited* there in the first place by the Asset Store top officials themselves in 2013 and early 2014. I can back this claim up with full email conversations if necessary, though I wouldn't do it publicly by the respect I owe them as persons, but in front of any arbitral authority, I totally will.
My commitment in providing continuous, solid, reliable support to people who acquired anything from me is *paramount*. I can't just be forced by some idiotic bureaucrat to let my users down like that. I intend to protest until this objectively stupid decision is revoked. I filed a claim at the Asset Store team and CC/ed the email to a couple people who invited me there 8 years ago.
If this toolchain is kicked out of the Asset Store with no means to come back, I will no longer receive compensation for the time I continuously spend in maintaining support for Unity projects, and will have to choose to either work for free, or just drop this compatibility.
Such a stupidity is unbelievable, but this isn't the end word. Let's hope it's just a misunderstanding on their part.
