iOS Build Environment Help Center

Failed build (SDK related errors)

append delete Paul

Windows version: 11
Builder version: 3.54
iOS SDK version: 16.2 (I did the setup in december)
Unity version: 2021.3.11f1

Hi Pierre-Marie,

First of all, thanks for the tool, everything worked perfectly until today. What I did to break the build: I've switched from Unity Ads to Unity Mediation and then I have switched back to Unity Ads. I cleaned up the project (builds in Unity work well for both Android and iOS). However, when attempting to build using the iOS builder I get some (SDK?) related errors, most likely due to some incorrect project settings I suspect, since all worked well until today. I have posted the log file below, maybe you have an idea on why these errors occur. Thank you!

Hello Paul

It looks like the same error as this one : https://www.pmbaty.com/iosbuildenv/help/thread.php?path=Problem%20solving/&file=errors-compiling-an-admob-project

I can only give you the same advice : see if Xcode can build it. If not, then I guess Unity screwed something up and you're good to start over from a backup.

I wish I knew what causes these errors. I suspect a mistake in the order of include files when Unity generates the C++ files, but I'm unable to tell what causes the Unity editor to behave one way or the other in this regard. If you find something, please post back so as to let everyone know.

Thanks for the response. I guess I will start a new unity project and copy all the required packages/assets/scrips there. I also suspect the external dependency manager screwed up something in the build files beyond the builder's control.

Indeed if you don't have any backup, that's a simple way to work it around.

For anyone interested, I have managed to fix the build errors by downgrating Unity Advertisments from Version 4.4.1 to Version 4.3.0.
