Build aborts after Building the dependency project UnityFramework...

append delete bioh

Hello.

After a setup by the readme manual, I got a build error when building just a sample Unity 3D application.

CMD just shows "Building the dependency project UnityFramework..." only and disappears.

My project is located in C:\iOS.

I searched troubleshooting and threads but couldn't find any similar problems.

I also added C:\iOS and C:\Users\bioh\iOS Project Builder for Unity for the exception folders of Windows Defender.

I ran Project Builder for Unity as an admin and it also didn't work.

I turned off all sync-related processes such as OneDrive.

Environment:
Windows 11 Pro 21H2 OS build 22000.556
iOS builder - version 3.45 - using iOS SDK 15.4

In addition, Unity version is 2020.3.31f1.

Hello

That’s an unusual one. I need more information to understand what’s going on. Please hold down the Shift key while you click the Build button. This will toggle debug mode and the builder should write a lot more information and create a build.log file in the Xcode project directory. Please put that file on PasteBin and post the link here (*important* you may want to do a search/replace in it to mask sensitive information first, such as your private key’s passphrase)

It seems that there are not much logs, though.

Indeed. Something makes the build script end abruptly.

I'm guessing it might be caused by a special/forbidden character. Does your private key's passphrase, or your provisioning profile filename contain non-alphanumeric characters ?

Sadly, no. Even after I changed all related characters to alphanumeric, it was just the same.

I solved the problem by creating a new Windows local account.
Besides the new account, all environments were the same. So I guess some of my background processes prevented iOS Builder from executing.

Glad to hear you solved it ! I was seriously running out of clues with that one.

(Leave this as-is, it’s a trap!)

There is no need to “register”, just enter the same name + password of your choice every time.
