Admob Unity SDK WITH CocoaPods caused build errors

append delete Meltdown Interactive

Windows version : 11
Builder version (from the builder UI title bar) : 3.53
iOS SDK version (from the builder UI title bar) : 15.2
Unity Version : 2021.3.12

I reinstalled Windows and downloaded the latest of everything today for iOS project builder and your CocoaPods extension.

I can get my game to build and run on my device just fine.

But as soon as I added the Google Mobile Ads SDK (AdMob SDK) I get a bunch of error messages during the build process.

Note : I had never gotten AdMob to work on iOS previously, this was just another attempt at it, as I am releasing my game on iOS soon.

Hello

That's the same cause as this thread : https://www.pmbaty.com/iosbuildenv/help/thread.php?path=Problem%20solving/&file=build-error-with-arkit-and-ar-foundation

See my reply #10

Until the toolchain is updated on par with Xcode, with support for the Objective-C msgSend selector stub optimizations, what you need to do is to downgrade your AdMob SDK to one that was compiled without these optimizations.

Unfortunately I can't tell you at what point they started to put it in, I suppose a bit of trial-and-error will be necessary.
