The builder does not start

Windows version 10 x64
Builder version 3.73.1

Hello Pierre-Marie Baty,

Could you please tell me why this warning window appears right after launching the builder, even right after installation?
I’ve tried installing it in different folders on my computer, but the result is the same.
I’d really appreciate any help with this.

Sorry for the trouble.

GetTempPath2A is only guaranteed to be supported on Windows 11, or the most recent Windows 10s, and it looks like your version of Windows 10 is not up to date. That's the reason.

I was lured into using it by Microsoft's documentation :-( https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/api/fileapi/nf-fileapi-gettemppatha

Note
Apps should call GetTempPath2 instead of GetTempPath.

What they didn't say on this page, though, is that it would make my app unable to run on some versions of Windows 10.

I have to fix that and recompile a version that will use the legacy GetTempPath() call instead of GetTempPath2. Really sorry for the trouble.

Thank you so much for your help!
I updated Windows and was able to start the program!
Thanks for the efficiency, I saw a notification of the new version of the program with the correction of this problem!

Well, not being able to even start the program was what I qualify a need for an emergency update. Glad to hear it’s working now :-)

(Leave this as-is, it’s a trap!)

There is no need to “register”, just enter the same name + password of your choice every time.
